Video Editing Softwares

This post will just be a quick and simple listing of just a few video editing software that could be used to edit not only our current media project but any other personal project that someone may be working on.The list I'm using for reference will be able to be found here. I will not be 1-for-1 referencing the websites details on these softwares,I'll only be using this site for the actual software references.

(Disclaimer: All of these softwares are all free and available to download for both Mac and PC *unless stated otherwise*)

Openshot-Openshot is a free, easy to use editing software with multiple different features at its disposal. These features include having multiple layer available for video watermarks and background audio tracks, trimming and slicing video lengths, additional visual video effects (color correction, etc.),the ability to render 3D animations into your video (presumably pre-constructed),and finally, having the ability to implement fast/slow motion into your video with the time altering effects.

Filmora-Filmora,as stated on their website,is the next best software alternative to MovieMaker or iMovie,it being availible on Mac,PC,and iOS devices. Filmora's features include fade-in and fade-out audio mixing, merging, splitting, trimming, cropping, and cutting/pasting additional clips into your video including the base clip, sound mixing,as well as employing filters. In terms of difficulty of usage,at surface value, the software is fairly easy to use with a lot of beginner support.Of course,if you're having trouble with any software really, there's plenty of tutorials on Youtube and their official website on how to work around the system.

iMovie-Ah,the classic.iMovie is a free and highly supported software available for all Apple devices (leaving a PC user like myself out of play). One additional that could make iMovie an easier interface is the touch-screen compatibility with iOS products, giving the user slightly more control over the interface. The features are pretty much the same across all three platforms,of course with slight differences so I won't restate for iMovie whats already been explained above.

In terms of what I'll be using to edit the project,I'll have to do a bit more experimenting with each software to see which one best suits our needs for the project.
